CIRAMM drives innovation, strengthens industry partnerships, and develops solutions to real-world challenges.We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing applied research activities. Reporting to the Research Chair, you will help ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with industry and academic standards. This role requires adaptability, initiative, and a strong interest in applied research and innovation.Support Project ActivitiesAssist project managers in coordinating applied research projects within CIRAMM and with external industry partnersSupport the development and maintenance of project schedules, including resource planning, material estimates,
and manpower requirementsHelp ensure project milestones and deliverables are met efficiently and accuratelyLaboratory Support and ExperimentationAssist in the preparation and execution of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring compliance with established safety and quality standards.Maintain and repair laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality to support research activities.Monitor and manage inventory of materials, supplies, and laboratory consumables to prevent disruptions in research activities.Documentation and ReportingDocument project phases meticulously, including experimental designs, methodologies, and outcomes, to ensure accurate project records.Create detailed project summary reports for internal and external stakeholders.Other ResponsibilitiesSupport CIRAMM's strategic objectives by performing additional duties as requiredDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced research environmentEducationMinimum: Post-secondary degree with relevant research experiencePreferred: Laboratory Technician diploma or equivalent trainingSkillsIndependence and Team CollaborationAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to cross-functional project teamsCommunication SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and deliver presentationsProblem-Solving and Critical ThinkingStrong analytical skills with the ability to approach challenges creatively and propose effective solutionsAttention to Detail and OrganizationExceptional accuracy, organization,
