Our client is seeking a Director, Commercial Underwriting to lead its commercial property and casualty underwriting operations across the Prairies. Based in Calgary, this is a senior regional leadership position with responsibility for teams located in both Calgary and Edmonton.The Director will oversee two Underwriting Managers, each leading a team of approximately eight professionals, as well as an Executive Underwriter. Most of the regional team is based in Calgary. Reporting to the Vice President of Underwriting, this individual will provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction while supporting underwriting quality, portfolio performance, employee development, and continued growth across the region.This opportunity is well suited to an experienced commercial underwriting leader who understands complex property and casualty risks and is comfortable leading through other people managers.
