Position function:Reporting to the Principal Development Manager, the Principal Manager will manage Principal relationships in the assigned portfolio for Caldic North America where applicable, with an emphasis on execution, relationship management and support to the Commercial team.PRINCIPAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGERAbout The RolePosition function: Reporting to the Principal Development Manager, the Principal Manager will manage Principal relationships in the assigned portfolio for Caldic North America where applicable, with an emphasis on execution, relationship management and support to the Commercial team.ScopeThe Principal Development Manager will focus on strategically owning our Principal relationships, to drive business development, optimize sourcing, ensure reliable and cost-effective supply to be aligned with our corporate strategy and while collaborating with our Business Team Leaders and internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for driving Principal's performance to achieve mutual strategic objectivesAnalysis and reporting on Principal performanceExperience working in food and/or nutritionCollaborate with Principals to build strategy for business development proposals for expansion.Gain market insights to translate relevant trends into objectives, generating an actionable strategic business planResponsible for day-to-day interactions with the assigned Principals including maintaining good working relationshipsSupport the Commercial team and Pricing team with periodic contracting processes, RFQ's, and regular costing needsWork with the Replenishment Team to ensure product is available based on customer and internal needsSupport internal teams at Caldic when escalation to Principals is neededEstablish multi-level connections within each of the principal's businessesProvide the necessary resources to implement, support, and enforce the health and safety policies and programs within the company by working in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations,



safe work practices and procedures established by Caldic.Leverage business intelligence tools to drive the strategy in the designated clusters of distributed productsInteract with senior management to help build management reports including Principal Development commentaryKnowledge / Skills & ExperiencePost-Secondary Education in Business Administration or a related fieldMust have 8-12 years' experience in Product/Category Management, Business Development or ProcurementKnowledge of Supply Chain and Inventory ManagementMust have advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, OLAP, CRM and ERP tools)Must have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsMust have strong organization skillsProblem solving and systemic thinking skills- critical analytics/ diagnosis; focus on continuous improvementStrong customer service focus: ability to relate to people at all levels and build trusted relationshipsGood prioritization and decision-making skills and judgment to drive the right impactWorks well in a team environmentCommitted to continuous learning and providing and receiving candid feedbackAbout CaldicAt Caldic, we're a global leader in distribution solutions, serving diverse markets across the world.
