Join EY and help build a better working world.OpportunityEY has a well‐established Climate Change and Sustainability practice to respond to our clients' growing need for guidance in key areas, including social and environmental sustainability, climate change, sustainable finance, and environment, health & safety (EHS). Our services include strategy and implementation, impact measurement, assessment of policies, programs and management systems, assurance over sustainability‐related data and greenhouse gas emission verification. The Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCASS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Manager, you'll play a key role in that growth by providing high‐value, independent, trusted EHS advisory services across many industries.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager, you will lead complex EHS advisory engagements from early scoping through delivery and client outcomes, operating across strategy, assessment, and implementation mandates. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, structuring problems, facilitating alignment, and translating technical EHS considerations into clear business impacts and decision‐ready recommendations. The role offers exposure to diverse engagements spanning operations, risk, and digital enablement, requiring strong collaboration across service lines. You will build client relationships, identify opportunities to expand engagements, and deliver high‐quality outputs. Regular travel across Canada (~30‐40%) is required for engagement with senior leadership teams.Client LeadershipLead a team to deliver a variety of EHS consulting engagements, including strategy, safety culture transformation, management system design, risk assessments,



and audit programs.Structure complex client challenges into transparent problem statements, hypotheses, and actionable recommendations.Lead and facilitate client meetings, drive discussions with senior executives, and position EHS topics in a business context to support decision‐making.Oversee the development of high‐quality deliverables and client presentations linked to analysis, insights, and recommendations.Understand the client's industry, performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical developments.Stay informed of general business/economic developments and their impact on the client.Establish expectations of value to be delivered.Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management throughout the year, demonstrating technical expertise.Assist with overall client relationship/engagement activities, business development, and account management efforts.Fluency in French and English is required; bilingualism in both languages is a requirement.Team LeadershipLead cross‐functional/matrix teams to ensure timely, accurate, and effective implementation of engagements that achieve client objectives.Delegate work; provide hands‐on coaching in technical EHS knowledge and consulting skills, conduct timely performance reviews, and give feedback/training.Build capability across team members in both technical EHS knowledge and consulting skills.Exhibit exceptional project management and communication capabilities.Utilize technology and other resources to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery.Apply emerging AI and digital tools to improve analysis, reporting,



and delivery efficiency.Maintain a personal educational program for continual skill development.Develop long‐term relationships and networks both internally and externally.Generate new business opportunities through teams and personal networks.Demonstrate initiative and ownership in complex, evolving environments.Show energetic, passionate, and entrepreneurial spirit.Dedicate to teamwork and leadership.Maintain advanced written and verbal communication skills.QualificationsUniversity degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related fields.12‐18+ years of consulting, project management, or industry experience focused on EHS risks and opportunities, including operational safety.Experience covering strategy evaluation and development, management system design, process improvement, and reporting.At least two of: environment, occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, or operational risk.Experience leading complex, multi‐stream engagements with senior stakeholder interaction.Experience supporting or contributing to proposal development, scoping, or pricing discussions.Desired ExperienceExperience working with or supporting implementation of EHS/IT platforms (e.G., ServiceNow, Cority, SAP, Intelex, Enablon, Sphera).BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package rewarded for performance and recognized for the value you bring.
