If you’re a heavy-duty equipment mechanic, hydraulic mechanic, automotive mechanic, marine mechanic, crane mechanic, elevator mechanic, hydraulic technician or millwright with a few years of experience we want you to join Falcon Equipment! This position is based out of our Nanaimo location.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Installing and assembling equipment
* Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes, snow and ice, and rail equipment
* Performing other duties as required
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of related experience with heavy equipment installations and/or maintenance
* Their Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic
* OR will be in their 3rd or 4th year of their apprenticeship with related heavy equipment experience
* OR _a combination of related education and work experience
* Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate is preferred
* Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
* The ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment
* The ability to work independently
* Your own tools
* Hydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge is a definite asset
* Welding experience is a definite asset
