Position ScopeNACG are seeking HAUL TRUCK OPERATORS to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to $53.66/hour as well as room for growth!Where You'll Be WorkingSite: KearlSchedule: 14 x 14, 12-hour days (paid lunch). 14 days on, 14 off. 14 nights on, 14 off.Accommodations: Camp accommodation is provided.Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after rotation).Overtime: Currently at Kearl they have blended rates with no overtime.We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955. Successful candidates will become a part of that union.BenefitsBenefits are significant and we offer lots!Up to a combined rate of pay of $53.66/hourVacation and statutory holiday pay allocated to each paycheckNight shift premium +$1.20/hourPaid weeklyMembership with one of the largest IUOE locals in North AmericaBenefits and pension after 400 hours worked, including medical and dental benefitsTransportation to and from site, save on gas expenses!PPE provided, just bring your own CSA certified steel toed bootsRoom for growth and future advancementsResponsibilitiesOperate rigid frame haul trucks ranging from 100-ton to 400-ton and 60T articulating ultra-class trucks in a mining or heavy construction earthworks environmentComplete pre-use equipment inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating conditionComplete field level risk/hazard assessments prior to task and as task changesParticipate in the safe fueling and servicing of equipmentInteract with loading and dumping equipmentFollow mine driving rulesInteract with other contractor and client equipmentEnsure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards,
and proceduresUsing adequate and suitable safety equipment, including all required PPEReviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirementsReport any necessary repairs to the maintenance team or supervisorsReport all incidents, near misses or damage immediatelyQualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience running a rigid frame haul truck ranging in size from 100-ton to 400-ton and 60T articulating ultra-class haul trucks; including mechanical (Caterpillar) or electric (Komatsu) style trucksMinimum one year experience in a mining or heavy construction earthworks environment preferredValid Class 5 Driver's License with acceptable drivers abstract (pulled within 30 days)Must be proficient in English, both verbal and writtenCSO CertificationWood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness or Energy Safety Canada Wildlife Awareness (including Bear Awareness)Must be clean shaven or ensure facial hair and jewelry does not affect the fit of respiratory protective equipment (required at select sites)High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an assetNorth American Construction Group is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive work environment where every employee feels safe, valued, and respected.
