Job Code:26018Status: Full TimeLocation: Providence Care HospitalUnion: OPSEU 4104 ParamedicalWage: $61.51 - $79.74Posting Period: July 18, 2026 - July 24, 2026The Psychologist will work collaboratively with the interprofessional team members and community partners to provide psychological services to individuals with mental illness who have come into conflict with the law, in order to reduce the impact of their illness and to enhance quality of life. The Psychologist will engage in evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation. The Psychologist may be involved in research and program evaluation and training of psychology graduate students and those in medicine/psychiatry. To this end, the Psychologist may pursue adjunct academic appointments with Queen's University Department of Psychiatry (Forensic Division) and Department of Psychology (as a Clinical Supervisor). The Psychologist will carry out their work in accordance with Providence Care policies, Mission, Vision and Values, and the regulations and standards of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. The Psychologist will also have the opportunity to participate in the Psychology Community of Practice, which serves as a forum for professional consultation, peer support, professional development, and discussion of issues relevant to the practice of psychology.Education And ExperiencePh.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and/or the American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university programCPA and/or APA accredited residency,



preferredRegistered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a member in good standing for practice with Adults in the area of Clinical Psychology and Forensic/Correctional PsychologyRegistration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts for supervised practice may be consideredMinimum two years of experience in providing psychological services to adults with serious mental illness, preferredPositions Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvides specialized consultation and assessment services (including clinical diagnosis) by using interview techniques and a wide range of standardized methods of observation, measurement and analysisProvides psychological treatment and individual rehabilitation programs by informing clients of the nature and scope of the services available, and offering them choice in their treatmentProvides psychological treatments to ameliorate the symptoms of psychiatric illness, and to help clients achieve more effective personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustmentProvides research and program evaluation services by developing and implementing protocols of scientific research,
