This position has oversight of a specific area, and acts as a representative of the department in ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace, by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position serves as Design Lead on assigned projects of difficult complexity design scope.Provide supervision to Design Supervisors on large projectsProvide guidance/assistance to project Design Engineers, Supervisors, Designers, Specialists, and DraftersDevelop the most cost‐effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design workDevelop estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecastsEstablish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecastsDevelop and review specifications, including design criteriaParticipate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting,



and subcontractingAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines PipingSupervise development and checking of complex piping drawings including plot plans, piping plans, isometrics and sketchesSupervise piping input to piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), update to master P&ID and pipe line listSupervise and support sub‐disciplines consisting of Piping Material Engineering, Piping Material Control, Stress Engineering, and Process GraphicsPerform advanced design calculations (lighting, raceway sizing and wire sizing, voltage drop, cable pulling, panel board and breaker sizing, and junction box sizing)Perform field assistanceAdvanced knowledge of:2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D CAD systems and proceduresHexagon Smart Electrical software & Review software3D modeling software (Hexagon Smart 3D, etc.)Fluor design guides, electrical technical practices, electrical design drawingsElectrical design requirements (grounding/earthing, lighting, wiring, motors, conduit fill and sizing, panelboards, and hazardous locations)Advanced computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e‐mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programsOther duties as assignedBasic Job RequirementsAccredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty‐five (25) years of work‐related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty‐seven (27) years if non‐degreed; some locations may haveadditional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local,
