Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Mandatory.Role and Facility InformationThe Hospitalist Medicine Division at Island Health currently has an opening for additional Hospitalists. We are a collegial group of about 25 physicians with diverse backgrounds who share a commitment to our team, and place a strong emphasis on work‐life balance.Our group serves as the Medical Review Panel (MRP) for the majority of patients at Nanaimo General Regional Hospital. We continuously learn from our peers and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and stimulating work environment. We pride ourselves on a supportive setting that encourages stepping up to help one another when needed, making challenging days more manageable and rewarding.Scheduling offers outstanding flexibility. Shifts are assigned months in advance to allow ample time to plan for you and your family's needs. Most shifts run weekday hours, but weekend and evening shifts are also built into the schedule. Shifts are generally in block format of 5–7 consecutive days,



with single days and shorter blocks also available.We offer travel and accommodation funding for locum shifts.
