The student will conduct primary research in the context of a global research project on local journalism. They will be responsible for researching and drafting a list of potential research participants, conducting interviews, and organizing interview data. Other tasks could include related secondary research and administrative tasks associated with the project. The student can work flexible hours with requirements as a remote position, with in-person on campus participation for planning and collaborative portions of the project.Working with SAIT and research participants, the student will:Draft a list of potential interview participants for approvalMake contact with potential research participants to plan interviewsConduct interviews with research participantsMaintain records of interviews and participant consentTraining and project orientation providedMust be a current or future SAIT student that is actively registered in a program during employment.
