In this role, you will report to the Director of Sourcing and engage in all facets of category procurement, including sourcing and vendor management. Your expertise will help align buying strategies with budget obligations, while building trusted vendor relationships. By analyzing market trends and product innovations, you contribute significantly to Loblaw's success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source weekly and seasonal product buys for retail divisions
• Influence buying strategies to meet budget goals
• Build solid vendor relationships for better collaboration
• Assist with vendor meetings and product cost negotiations
• Evaluate innovations for private label products
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in procurement or retail merchandising
• Post-secondary education in business or supply management
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills
