The ICU Nurse will provide critical care to patients with severe, life-threatening conditions.As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the ICU Nurse will assess, plan, and implement patient care, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients in critical condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Provide life‑saving interventions and care, including intubation, ventilation, and emergency resuscitation.
- Collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in complex procedures, including intubation, catheterization, and the use of life‑support equipment.
- Perform regular patient assessments and document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families about critical illness, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalates care as needed.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment, following hospital infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- ICU nursing experience preferred (minimum of (X) years).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and (any other required certifications).
- Strong knowledge of critical care procedures and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
