Work is already underway on new track, station renovations and infrastructure upgrades on parts of the Lakeshore, Stouffville, Kitchener and Barrie lines. The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture is comprised of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd. This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track works, leveraging global expertise to introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network.You are someone who:Accountable for ensuring all structural construction project management activities are successfully executed.Reviews structural design documents, specifications, and constructability for bridges, retaining walls, noise walls, OCS foundations, reinforced concrete structures, and structural rehabilitation works.Reviews cost estimates focusing on completeness, accuracy, constructability, and underlying assumptions, benchmarking against industry standards.Identifies potential construction risks related to structural works, develops mitigation strategies, and contributes to the Project Risk Register.Works closely with the Scheduling Team to develop and maintain project schedules during planning and execution phases.Collaborates with clients, designers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.Oversees procurement activities for structural materials, specialty subcontractors, and temporary works.Establishes and maintains project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.Enforces project change management procedures and evaluates impacts on scope, schedule, and budget.Reviews contract documents to ensure effective planning, staffing, scheduling,



and commercial management of structural works.Negotiates and administers contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements in a timely and cost-effective manner.Chairs project meetings and drives decision-making to achieve project objectives.Ensures project reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with contractual requirements.Oversees structural quality assurance, testing, inspection, and safety compliance throughout project execution.Manages client, consultant, and vendor relationships to support project success.Ensures all project close‐out activities, including commissioning, as‐built documentation, and turnover requirements, are completed efficiently.Demonstrates strong commercial acumen to protect project margins and maximize value.Supports business development activities, including estimating, bid reviews, constructability assessments, and risk analysis for future opportunities.Contributes to financial forecasting and revenue planning**.You brin**g:Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management or equivalent discipline.Knowledge and/or experience of the rail and signalling is preferred.10+ years of active, relevant, and applicable experience in the civil construction industry, focusing on rail and infrastructural projects.Knowledge of various project delivery models, especially Progressive Design-Build (PDB), is an asset.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for normal functions and special assignments.Proficient use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) is essential,



and experience in using scheduling and estimating software is preferred.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.Skilled at building positive working relationships with internal and external clients.Good listening and communication skills.Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.Expected compensation for this role is between $130,000.00-$160,000.00 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills, experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration.
