You will be responsible for technical support on electrical supply, distribution, and associated hardware. You will also support the site energy management program and good standing in the various utility programs. This role is to recruit for a vacancy. The roster will be 5 days on / 2 days off and 4 days on / 3 days off (9.5 hours). We offer a market-competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $130,000 to $160,000 CAD.Key Result AreasProvide technical direction and support to the electrical teamSupport planners in developing and updating maintenance strategies, plans, and methodsLiaise with utilities, regulatory agencies and subject matter experts on projects,
shutdowns and supply of energyMaintain site power system modelling software (ETAP)Review new equipment to site to ensure it meets applicable standardsUpdate AutoCAD drawings and drawing databases related to instrumentation and electrical projectsMaintain site energy management planDevelop long term site load planning requirementsLead implementation of identified energy projects as requestedPursue utility incentives and outside funding sources for projects and programsModify and update as required site energy management information systemComply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirementsAdhere to all relevant corporate policies and proceduresAbout youCertified Engineering Technician/Technologist, certified electrician or have a Professional Engineer designation in OntarioThorough working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical CodeIn-depth knowledge of electrical principles, including those for power distribution, low and medium voltage, PLCs, AC motors and drivesKnowledge of CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical SafetyKnowledge of CSA M421 Use of Electricity in MinesKnowledge of PLCs, VFDs and software associated with5-10 years of experience in an Industrial setting is preferredRET Screen, Office Suite, SCADA (Wonderware), DCS (Foxboro) Schneider PME and ITT Network experience desiredKnowledge of Arc Flash Studies and implementationStrong attention to detailStrategic and commercial acumenGood communication skillsAbility to comprehend and read technical drawingsWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce that represents the communities in which we operate.
