The Airborne Asset Adaptation (A3) Cell acts as the central command and coordination hub, managing requirements and external interfaces from inception to operational delivery. Specialized technical execution is delivered by the Aircraft Integration Centre (AIC), a Part 145 facility focused on airframe modification, and Aerospace Design (ASD), which provides organic design engineering and FAA-authorized certification. mission-ready assets.Position SummaryIn the Aircraft Modifications Avionics Engineer role, you will provide engineering design and certification support for integration of avionics systems into general aviation, business, transport and military derivative aircraft. This role will support major alterations and Supplemental Type Certificate development managed by both the FAA and the Peregrine ODA within Metrea Aerospace Design.What You’ll DoReview customer requirements including Statement(s) of WorkResearch and analysis of project requirementsReview aircraft and equipment specifications to determine system interfaces and electrical load budgetsPerform aircraft surveys and collect required data if required. Some (less than 20%) travel may be requiredCreate interconnect drawings for all affected avionics systems using AutoCadCreate Installation Data Package (Technical Data Package) including systems and electrical fabrication, assembly and installation drawings, master data lists, drawings and reportsWrite Engineering Orders, create installation instructionsCreate aircraft manual supplements for maintenance and operationsDemonstrate strong attention to detailApply electrical engineering standards to drawing development by following provided CAD templates, formats and standardsMulti-task and maintain a positive attitude in a fast paced, changing environment.
