The team designs and builds solutions that streamline customer integration and administration and empower customers with clear insights, seamless interactions, and transparency into their data and usage.OverviewThe Customer Platform Experience team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.RoleResponsible for the end-to‐end analysis, design, and delivery of secure,



scalable software solutions across the full SDLCDesign and implement features where requirements are defined, applying strong technical judgment while adhering to Mastercard standards, processes, and best practicesBuild and operate complex full‐stack applications (e.G., Java, Node.Js, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL) in cloud environments (e.G., AWS, Azure)Ensure high-quality, maintainable software through best practices in clean architecture, testing, and secure developmentOwn production excellence, including system reliability, incident response, root cause analysis, and on‐call supportDevelop a strong understanding of end‐to‐end architecture and dependencies to support effective design and integration decisionsCollaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to prioritize work, estimate delivery, and drive customer‐focused technical decisionsDrive code, design, and process trade‐off discussions within the team as neededIdentify opportunities to improve engineering processes, increase efficiency, and reduce wasteMentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvementAll About YouBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology, or relevant experience in software developmentFull‐stack software engineering experience delivering secure, scalable, and highly available applications, preferably in financial services or similarly regulated environmentsStrong hands‐on experience in backend development with applicable Java technologies (Core Java, Spring Integration, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP web services)Strong proficiency in contemporary programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Node.Js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or PythonHands‐on experience designing and building APIs and distributed systems using REST/GraphQL and client‐server architecturesSolid experience with cloud platforms (e.G., AWS, Azure), including deploying, operating, and scaling production systemsStrong understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility) and performance optimization techniquesExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.G., PostgreSQL),
