This role provides end-to-end ownership of global payroll operations, including vendor management, audit controls, and process optimization.This position partners closely with People Operations, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure payroll integrity while driving scalable and productive processes in a fast-paced, global environment.Here's What You'll Be DoingGlobal Payroll Ownership & DeliveryOwn end-to-end payroll operations across multiple regions (EMEA, APAC, North America)Oversee payroll processing through external vendors, ensuring accuracy and timelinessReview and approve payroll outputs, validating calculations and resolving discrepanciesEnsure compliance with local statutory requirements, filings, and reporting obligationsLead year-end payroll activities and regulatory reportingPayroll Accounting & Financial ReconciliationPartner with Finance to ensure accurate payroll accounting and alignment to general ledger (GL) reportingReview and validate payroll journals,



accruals, and postings across all regionsPerform and/or oversee payroll reconciliations including net pay, taxes, benefits, and statutory balancesSupport month-end and year-end close processes related to payrollInvestigate and resolve payroll variances in partnership with Finance and vendorsEnsure payroll data integrity supports accurate financial reporting and forecastingVendor & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary owner of global payroll vendor relationshipsDrive accountability with vendors on timelines, accuracy, and service deliveryPartner with Finance on payroll funding, approvals, and reconciliationCollaborate with People Operations to ensure accurate employee data and transactionsAudit, Controls & ComplianceEstablish and maintain strong payroll controls and audit processesEnsure all payroll changes are supported by approved workflows and documentationSupport internal and external audits, including documentation and variance analysisMonitor payroll risks and implement mitigation strategiesProcess Improvement & SystemsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce riskSupport ongoing Dayforce payroll optimization and configurationStandardize global payroll processes while respecting local requirementsBuild and maintain documentation for payroll processes and controlsLeadership & OwnershipServe as the subject matter expert for global payroll across the organizationProvide guidance and support to People Operations team members involved in payroll inputsDrive accountability and clarity across payroll workflows and responsibilitiesQualificationsHere's what you need:5–8+ years of global payroll experience, including multi-country payroll oversightStrong experience managing external payroll vendors across multiple regionsDeep understanding of payroll compliance and statutory requirementsExperience with Dayforce or similar global payroll systemsStrong understanding of payroll controls, audits,



and risk managementAbility to operate independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsNice to HaveExperience supporting EMEA and APAC payrollsExperience working through payroll transformations or system implementationsSalary:The base salary for this role is $120,000 CAD to $140,000 CAD per year.
