We are partnering with a privately owned, growing organization to recruit ahands-on Controllerwho thrives in a dynamic, multi-entity environment. This is a key leadership role for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being close to the numbers while also providing oversight across core administrative functions.About the RoleReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will take ownership of the full accounting cycle, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting operational decision-making. This role requires a robust technical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a business that blends project-based work, service delivery, and light assembly.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and overseefull-cycle financial statementsacross multiple entitiesLead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timelinessProvide oversight of:Payroll (including acting as backup when required)Accounts PayableReception / administrative support functionsSupportjob costing processes, including analysis and reporting on project performanceApply appropriate revenue recognition methodologies,



particularly in a construction/project environment (fixed price and cost-plus contracts)Monitor and report oninventoryand related controlsProvide insight intoequipment utilization and efficiencywithin a service-oriented businessStrengthen internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systemsPartner with operations to support bothmaintenance and greenfield projectsQualifications & ExperienceProfessional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)Proven experience in ahands-on Controller or senior accounting roleBackground in construction, project-based, or similar industries, with strong understanding of revenue recognitionDemonstrated experience with:Job costingMulti-entity structuresInventory accountingExposure toservice-based operations, including equipment utilization metricsStrong systems experience, includingmid-market (Tier 2) ERP systemsComfortable operating in an environment that requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day executionWhat Sets You ApartDetail-oriented with a strong sense of ownershipPractical, solutions-focused mindsetAbility to balance multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary and vacationComprehensive benefits packageRRSP matching programFree parking #J-18808-Ljbffr
