About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Executive Solutions. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Specialty Insurance team, responsible for leading a group of Executive Solutions underwriters. This role demands a passionate and results-oriented individual with a strong dedication to exceptional customer service, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a proven track record of strong leadership. The Assistant Vice President will be accountable for representing the Executive Solutions team in the Ontario region, building and developing a team of underwriters,
and managing a portfolio of executive solutions insurance accounts.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in a relevant field, with a preference for business, finance, accounting, marketing, or insurance. A minimum of 5 years' experience in underwriting Directors' and Officers' Liability insurance product lines and at least 2 years' of experience in managing a small team is required. The role involves marketing and sourcing recent business opportunities, engaging in cross-selling, and maintaining broker relationships. The ideal candidate will have an innovative mindset, a passion for excellence, and a detail-oriented approach. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a team environment are essential. The Assistant Vice President will also be involved in the strategic planning and budgeting for the Executive Solutions team and will be expected to stay abreast of industry, business, and legal trends that impact the products offered.
