In this position you will lead and supervise structural engineers on interdisciplinary project teams to design, build, assess, and maintain bridges, transportation and heavy civil engineering structures in British Columbia, across Canada, and around the world.ResponsibilitiesLeading the design of a wide range of structures above and below ground from planning through concept to implementationLeading the assessment, rehabilitation and seismic upgrade design to existing structures from planning through concept to implementationWorking with other professionals, clients,



and third parties as requiredWriting technical memos and reports to communicate your workSupervising, coordinating and reviewing the work of other structural engineers—including technical reports, engineering drawings, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, and technical support during constructionOverseeing the planning and management of projects to ensure that work is fit for purpose, completed on schedule and within budgetProviding project management and technical oversight—including mentoring team members and setting high standards for professionalism and qualityWorking with new and existing clients to identify opportunities and develop new business as part of our ongoing growth strategyLeading the preparation of proposalsFor the right candidate with demonstrated ability, this position offers the opportunity for increasing responsibility and an overall technical and/or team leadership role.Qualifications10-15 years of structural engineering and project management experience, with an emphasis on transportation and heavy civil engineering structures (BC experience is preferred)A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized university (a Master's degree is an asset but not necessary)A Professional Engineer in BCDemonstrated capability to lead design teams, plan and manage resources to deliver assignments within the required schedules and assigned budgetsA team player who is self-motivated and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic,



interdisciplinary environmentStrong verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsA thorough understanding of the design of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and structural steelA thorough understanding of earthquake engineering and performance-based designExperience with design-bid-build and alternative procurement models (e.G.
