Our client is seeking a General Superintendent to provide strategic leadership and oversight across multiple heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while leading Superintendents and field teams. Working closely with Operations, Project Management, and project stakeholders, the General Superintendent will drive operational excellence, optimize resource planning, promote a robust safety culture, and ensure successful project execution from planning through completion. This position follows a 14 days on / 7 days off (14/7) rotation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Superintendents and field leadership teams to drive operational excellenceOversee multiple heavy civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standardsMonitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to maintain project objectivesLead project planning, forecasting, scheduling, resource allocation, and overall construction execution throughout the project lifecycleCoordinate field operations while maintaining effective communication with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholdersConduct regular site meetings,
establish clear priorities, and reinforce safety, quality, and performance expectationsPromote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and industry regulationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients while supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency across projectsQualificationsCompletion of a Construction, Technical Diploma, C.E.T., Engineering Degree, or a related discipline10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, including earthworks, mine support services, road construction, and site developmentStrong understanding of construction methods, engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documentsProven leadership experience managing Superintendents, field teams, and large-scale construction projectsExcellent planning, organizational, delegation, and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environmentsStrong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teamsAbility to effectively manage schedules, budgets, resources, and competing project prioritiesCommitment to workplace safety with CSTS and OSSA certifications or the ability to meet site safety requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
