Senior Software Engineer at Pointclickcare

About the role: Pointclickcare is looking for a senior engineer to help build and maintain our healthcare technology platform. You will contribute to a system that supports over 30,000 provider organizations by developing scalable software and integrating advanced AI tools into our daily development workflows.

What you'll do

- Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to execution.
- Write clean, productive code and automate manual processes through scripting.
- Analyze, debug, and monitor system performance.
- Perform test-driven development and conduct peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance product functionality.
- Apply Generative AI models and spec-driven development to daily tasks.
- Build and maintain AI platform infrastructure, including container security and Kubernetes.
- Implement observability frameworks for real-time performance monitoring.

Requirements

- BSc or BA in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java or other functional/object-oriented languages.
- Experience with Azure cloud services or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud-native streaming via Azure Event Hub, Service Bus, AWS Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub.
- Expertise in relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.




- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in Git and system monitoring tools like Azure Log Analytics, Grafana, or DataDog.
- Hands-on experience with AI infrastructure, including vector databases, prompt stores, and AI IDEs.
- Expertise in OpenTelemetry or NLPFlow.
- Must use Generative AI code assistants like GitHub Copilot.

Nice to have

- Experience with Kafka, Redpanda, or WarpStream.
- Familiarity with integration engines like Rhapsody or Mirth.
- Knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
- Background in Ansible, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with SaaS products and Service Oriented Architecture.
- Knowledge of vLLM or SGLang for hosting LLM inference.
