You'll do everything from ensuring timely and accurate GAAP financial reporting and implementing recent processes for company growth to liaising with investors, banks, counsel, vendors, and customers.We'll be excited to hear your recommendations on process improvements and overall operational performance. We're counting on you to manage the day to day accounting operations, ensuring vendors are paid on time, expenses are in-line with company objectives, and compliance with all regulations. Reporting to the VP Finance & Operations, the Controller will have an active and independent voice that will be critical in all financial considerations of the business.This opportunity is meant for an ambitious, experienced professional seeking to make an impact and grow his/her career with the ability to advance within the company.ResponsibilitiesManage monthly close processes, including general ledger review, journal entries, and analysis and reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet accountsOversee multi-currency consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, cross-border financial transactions, and transfer pricing arrangementsOversight of accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, T&E reimbursement, payroll, and customer / vendor contract managementManage and develop accounting team by providing active mentorship and coachingProvide proactive analyses to identify issues and understand fluctuations in balances and provide meaningful analyses to stakeholdersReview, improve, and implement new processes and systems with a focus on simplification, scale, standardization, optimization, and adequate internal controlsManage relationships with external accounting firms,
tax advisors, and other 3rd party professional advisorsManage annual external financial statement audit process and prepare necessary workpapersEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations in US, Canada and our international locations - Portugal and IndiaPartner with VP Finance & Operations on corporate governance, ad hoc analyses for monthly financial reporting, systems selection and implementation, board meetings, investor relations, budgeting and forecasting processQualifications and Experience8+ years of relevant accounting and controllership experience (mix of Private/ Public Big 4 experience a plus)Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance preferred)bCA / CPA, strong knowledge of US-GAAP, IFRS and internal controls. Knowledge of accounting regulations, compliance, and reporting under U.S. GAAP/IFRSProficient with Revenue Recognition, Stock Compensation, Intangible Assets and other technical accounting conceptsExperience working on a small team at a high growth B2B Enterprise SaaS companyCustomer Oriented, Team Player, Decisive, Trustworthy, Agile, Tenacious, and Focused on ImpactProblem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlinesProficient with Google and Microsoft toolsProficient with Sage Intacct, Netsuite (or other similar ERPs)Working knowledge of other financial tools: Airbase for AP, Carta, Salesforce and QuickbooksGenerous supplemental medical insurance coverage for yourself and your familyFlexible PTO policyCompetitive compensation and benefits packagesWe are 100% Distributed - work from almost anywhere.
