As the organization continues to grow, it remains committed to maintaining an agile environment where teamwork, continuous improvement, and individual initiative are highly valued.DescriptionReporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will lead all accounting and financial reporting activities across the organization.The successful candidate will oversee a multi-entity accounting function, lead the monthly close and consolidation process, coordinate external audits, and ensure the integrity of financial information used throughout the business.This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and supporting a growing organization. and modern business systems will continue to transform the finance profession and is excited to help shape that future.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & ConsolidationLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesPrepare consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities and jurisdictionsEnsure timely, accurate, and reliable financial reportingOversee intercompany accounting and reconciliationsMaintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsSupport management reporting and executive decision-making through high-quality financial informationAccounting OperationsLead, mentor, and develop the accounting teamOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and treasury activitiesEnsure the integrity of financial records and balance sheet reconciliationsMonitor working capital, cash flow, and financial performance indicatorsSupport inventory, operational, and project accounting activities across the organizationAudit, Tax & ComplianceServe as the primary contact for external auditorsCoordinate annual audits and statutory reporting requirementsSupport tax compliance and tax planning initiatives with external advisorsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirementsProcess Improvement, Systems & TechnologyDrive continuous improvement initiatives across the finance functionIdentify opportunities to streamline, automate, and simplify processesChampion the effective use of ERP systems and reporting toolsExplore and implement new technologies that improve efficiency and decision-makingHelp prepare the finance organization for the increasing use of automation, analytics, and AI-enabled toolsLeadership & Business PartnershipPartner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational developmentSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processesCollaborate with leaders across operations, engineering, sales, and product developmentPromote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement,
and operational excellenceRequired QualificationsEducationCPA designation requiredProfessional ExperienceMinimum of 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experienceMinimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing accounting teamsStrong experience with multi-entity consolidations and financial reportingExperience managing external audits and year-end processesExperience working within ERP environments (NetSuite experience is considered an asset)Experience in a growth-oriented, multi-entity business environmentExperience operating across Canada and the United StatesSkillsStrong understanding of internal controls and accounting best practicesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbilitiesWe are looking for more than a strong accountant.
