It's not just about hitting milestones—it's about making the experience rewarding along the way.About the roleWe're looking for a senior finance leader to own and evolve Rewind's full finance function spanning accounting, financial planning, and controller responsibilities. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: you'll bring a strong accounting foundation, step confidently into hands-on operational work when needed, and guide the business with clear, data-driven insight.This is a hands on builder role. You'll shape the broader finance strategy, while also performing core Accounting and Controller responsibilities. You should expect to roll up your sleeves and operate as both a leader and an individual contributor, handling everything from Board reporting, to financial modelling, to processing payroll and driving month end close. You'll partner closely with the executive team, particularly the CEO and CRO to ensure Rewind scales with financial clarity, discipline, and confidence.What you'll doFinancial leadership & strategyOwn company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking,



including SaaS metrics and operating modelsPartner with leadership to guide investment decisions, pricing strategy, and growth planningDeliver clear, actionable financial insights to executives, board members, and investorsSupport strategic finance work including scenario planning and executive-level analysis.Accounting, close operations & complianceOversee and continuously improve the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowMaintain high-quality financial reporting and variance analysis to support decision-makingStep into hands‐on accounting work where needed, ensuring no gaps in execution as the team scalesOwn all core accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, treasury, and general ledger managementLead audits, tax filings, and compliance across jurisdictions, including SR & ED and international subsidiariesManage equity administration (e.G., Carta), ensuring accurate cap table and regulatory complianceControls, governance & infrastructureStrengthen internal controls and financial processes to safeguard company assets and support scaleOversee vendor relationships, banking, insurance programs, and external partners (auditors, consultants)Build and evolve systems, tooling, and workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibilityOversee the stock option/equity program and management of the cap table.Leverage Agentic AIUse Agentic AI to automate key processes such as: accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial package preparationTeam leadership & developmentLead and mentor the finance and accounting team, setting a high bar for accountability and performanceFoster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaborationWhat you'll bringExperience in a venture-backed or scaling SaaS companyCPA designation (or equivalent) with 10+ years of progressive experience across accounting and financeEarly-career foundation in accounting (e.G., audit, controllership) with a transition into broader finance leadershipExperience owning both accounting operations and FP&A in a high-growth SaaS or tech environmentStrong understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and financial best practicesProficiency using AI tools to streamline and enhance financial modelling, reporting and workflowsComfort operating as a hands‐on leader, including stepping into payroll, reporting, or operational tasks when neededProven ability to build, improve, and scale financial processes and systemsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insightsExperience with modern finance tools (e.G., NetSuite, Salesforce, Stripe, Carta,



QuickBooks Online)Nice to haveExposure to international finance operations and multi-entity structuresExperience managing or implementing financial systems and automation initiativesFamiliarity with BI or dashboarding tools (e.G., Metabase, Looker, Tableau)Experience supporting board reporting and investor relationsLocationThere is a strong preference for candidates based in Ontario for easier collaboration and occasional in-person meetings in our HQ office (Ottawa).Compensation PhilosophyThe actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.If your expectations are above this range, it may be because your experience aligns with a more senior level. In some cases, we're open to hiring at a higher level for the right person and are committed to paying competitively and fairly.If your experience is closer to an earlier career stage, we may still consider your application.
