DESCRIPTIONCummins is looking for a talented In-shop diesel technician to complete its team at the Kamloops location.Cummins offers a 5000$ sign-on bonus for this position.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Apply documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs.Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engine.Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten or business system input screens.Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.Adhere to and ensures adherence of more junior technicians to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIESTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Red seal Truck and transport or Heavy-duty mechanics is mandatory for this position.Locally valid driving permit is mandatory for the role.CVI license is an asset for this role.Class 3 license is an asset for this role.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Experience:Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.Experience in bumper to bumper repairs.Experience in trailer repair.Cummins engine troubleshooting and repairs is considered an assetOEM Dealer experience is considered an asset.About the roleThis is a safety-oriented position.On a 4x10 working schedule 7am to 530pmCummins factory training providedAdvancement opportunities within CumminsPay is 51.13$ hourly plus a 1.50$ hourly premium.Unionized environment.You will be working on:Transit busesOn highway vehiclesFiretrucksConstruction equipmentTrailersCompensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
