If this speaks to you, this Maintenance Superintendent opportunity at our sawmill in Elko, BC might just be your calling.The Maintenance Superintendent is a key member of the Plant Management Team and as such, is responsible for providing overall leadership for the Maintenance Department, ensuring excellent safety performance combined with project planning and maintenance, as well as preventative maintenance programs.A day in the life of the Maintenance Superintendent includes:Ensure the highest level of workplace safetyProvide direction, training and support for all maintenance personnel and foster a highly effective working relationship with all employeesAssist in developing and achieving targets in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee engagementEnsure the Canfor Operating System (COS) is being followed with the emphasis on abnormality responseEffectively liaise with Production departments to ensure the highest level of equipment availabilityAssist with the development and management of the annual budget and cost control programEnsure full compliance with environmental permits, applicable government regulations and corporate policiesProvide development for supervisory personnelWork with senior management team to plan equipment and/or technological changesDevelop, implement and maintain effective preventative maintenance programsFor this role, you'll come equipped with:Proven ability in safety management,
