ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the clinical, educational and research activities of the Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care (PSMPC) team.Address the palliative care needs of ambulant cancer patients, integrated with oncological management, including survivorship context.Facilitate a coordinated approach and ensure continuity of palliative care support through effective communication and transfers back to community‐level physicians and home care/palliative care services.Provide consultation and education to other BC Cancer care teams and community‐based care providers as required.Support and engage in research and education interests in palliative and supportive care.Enhance awareness and provide public and provider education on palliative care and symptom management for oncology patients.QualificationsFully licensed physician, meeting the requirements of the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons, Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer Agency, and the local hospital.RCPSC certification in Palliative Medicine.Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities; familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety, anti‐racism, and related reports.BenefitsHealth, wellness,
