Information Technology August 15, 2024 Full Time Toronto, ON / Remote $70,000 - $90,000 Role Summary We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our growing technology team. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining software solutions that power our logistics operations and enhance our customers' experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects in the logistics industry while contributing to the digital transformation of supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities

Software Development

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern technologies Build and integrate APIs for internal and external systems Develop database solutions and optimize database performance Create responsive user interfaces for web and mobile platforms Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code System Integration

Integrate with third-party logistics and shipping APIs Develop interfaces between fulfillment center management systems and customer platforms Build automation tools to streamline operational processes Implement data synchronization between different systems Work with EDI and various data formats commonly used in logistics Quality Assurance

Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards Debug and resolve software issues in development and production environments Monitor application performance and implement optimizations Ensure software security best practices are followed Collaboration & Innovation

Work closely with operations team to understand business requirements Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly interfaces Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends Technical Requirements

Programming Languages

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js Experience with Python or Java Knowledge of SQL and database query optimization Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3,



and modern CSS frameworks Understanding of RESTful API development Frameworks & Tools

Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular Knowledge of Express.js or similar backend frameworks Familiarity with version control systems (Git) Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) Logistics Industry Knowledge (Preferred)

Understanding of fulfillment center management systems (WMS) Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) Familiarity with EDI standards and logistics data formats Experience with shipping APIs (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Canada Post, etc.) Understanding of inventory management concepts Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 3-5 years of qualified software development experience Experience with full-stack development Portfolio of completed projects demonstrating technical skills Technical Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities Experience with agile development methodologies Knowledge of software testing principles and practices Understanding of database design and optimization Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Adaptability and willingness to learn recent technologies Customer-focused mindset What We Offer
