Role Overview Infosys is looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (SCON) who can design, build, and manage scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient application delivery.

Responsibilities

Design and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda)

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation

Automate build, release, and operational workflows

Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization

Ensure cloud security, compliance, and access controls (IAM, KMS)

Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis

Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops teams for seamless releases

Manage and troubleshoot production for Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) and Docker environments

Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards with CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana

Document and maintain procedural knowledge base

Work at a computer for extended periods, including prolonged sitting

Required Skills

At least 7 years of information technology experience, 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering

Strong expertise in core AWS services and architecture

Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation

Experience with containers:



Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash)

Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)

Good understanding of networking, security, and Linux operating systems

Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and face‑to‑face

Valid work authorization in Canada; Canada citizenship or permanent residency

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or equivalent progressive experience in lieu of a degree

Located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario, or willing to relocate (travel may be required)

Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship (Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role)

Perks & Compensation Estimated annual compensation range for Ontario: $92,740 to $105,007.
