Job Title: Kids World SupervisorContract Period: August 21st-September7th, 2026 **** Pay Rate: $18.60 / hrABOUT USLooking for a summer job that's fun, by the waterfront and gets you access to one of Toronto's most iconic events? Come join our team at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)!The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada's largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. With something for everyone, the CNE offers a wide range of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats!Join the team and be part of this summer tradition, helping us inspire Canadians and create memories!ResponsibilitiesFacilitate staff rotation schedule, including break coverage, Program Attendant placement, and assigning Program Runners to areas of high demandProvide the Program Assistant with daily debriefs on staff performance, program operations, and potential improvementsLead daily shift meeting with updates from the Program Assistant and other Program SupervisorsEnsure staff are engaged with guests and kept on taskEnsure staff arrive at stations promptly and take breaks as scheduledBe the point of contact for any issues that may arise in Kids' World including lost children, guest complaints, equipment damage and malfunctions, and customer assistance.Answer questions and provide info to guests regarding the exhibits, programming, attractions, facilities, and servicesDocument participation and interest of guests at key areas and times throughout the 18-day fairEnsure that program areas are properly maintained, on schedule,
and presentable alwaysSpecial ConditionsAbility to stand or remain in stationary position for extended periods of timeAbility to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions (sun, heat, wind, cold, rain)Comfortable with loud noises and crowdsComfortable in instructing, aiding, and facilitating programs such as arts and crafts activities, meet and greets, line management, and other Kids' World related programsComfortable supervising, instructing, and aiding children of all agesRequired to dress in appropriate uniformRequired SkillsHighly productive and organizedAble to co-ordinate 20+ staffReliable and enthusiasticPublic Speaking SkillsProblem-Solving SkillsFriendly DispositionGood JudgmentAble to work with minimal supervisionAdvanced customer serviceLeadership SkillsRequired QualificationsMinimum Age Requirement: 16 yearsAvailable to work flexible hours all 18 days of the fair (August 21st - September 7th, 2026), including evenings, weekends, and Labour DayAvailable to attend mandatory one day of staff orientation and one day of staff training, taking place between early August – August 20, 2026.
