Front of House Manager (Granville Island)We are looking for a passionate Front of House Manager to lead our shop on Vancouver's iconic Granville Island! Opening late Fall 2026!Reports to: Front of House Operations ManagerDate Prepared: July 17, 2026Job Summary: The primary objective of the Front of House Manager is to oversee the operations of a new shop on Granville Island. The FOH Manager accomplishes the business' goals through developing and motivating a team in which each person is supported to do their best work and care for one another. You work with the senior leadership team to set and achieve targets. You and your team provide outstanding service, build sales, and drive productivity.Duties:Learn about and share our unique company history. Provide and model exceptional guest experiences highlighting our local partnerships and ingredient sourcing.Monitor key performance indicators and use data to set expectations for the department to optimize efficiency.Build staff schedules, oversee the team's needs encouraging a culture that supports the health of the team members. Host team meetings when appropriate.Recruit, train and oversee the development of new team members and Shift Leaders.Write and deliver annual performance reviews.Manage seasonal inventory needs while monitoring quality control.Maintain relationships with suppliers.Ensure the department adheres to Foodsafe and Occupational Health & Safety standards as required by Worksafe BC. Represent management on the Joint Health and Safety Committee,



participate in regular meetings and respond to safety concerns.Oversee guest complaints.Operational and administrative duties to support a busy shop.Participate in management meetings; contributing to our collaborative, round-table management culture.Supervisory Responsibilities:Managing an Assistant Manager, a seasonally-fluctuating team of approximately 20-45 team members, including 6-11 Shift Leaders hired under the Granville Island department. Seasonal hiring and training responsibilities.Working Conditions:Minimum 32 hours per week.Available evenings and weekends.In an average week, this role will be 40% administrative on a computer, and 60% in-person meetings and tasks on the floor, but also includes:Full-day floor coverageFull-day training on floorExposure to cold temperatures (with personal protective equipment) in walk-in freezers.Qualifications:Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to quickly analyze, identify, and address issues or inefficiencies.Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a passion to motivate and drive teams with a hands-on approach.Ability to engage in repetitive tasks,
