The Superintendent will also be responsible for the management of day to day operations in the yard.The Arctic Over the Horizon Radar Project is a major federal initiative led by Canada's Department of National Defence, playing a critical role in strengthening national and continental defence.As part of this program, Aecon's Civil team is advancing Canada's infrastructure through a strategic partnership with Pomerleau and Stantec. Delivered through a collaborative Integrated Project Delivery model, this project team is contributing to the design and construction of innovative infrastructure that will support one of the most advanced radar systems in North America.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a project of national significance, where collaboration, innovation, and purpose drive meaningful impact.What You'll Do Here:Lead the overall planning and scheduling of projects to ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and in alignment with contractual requirementsMonitor project progress against schedules and budgets, implementing corrective actions as required to mitigate risks and delaysCoordinate and oversee all project functions, including administration, scheduling, and construction executionServe as the primary on ‐ site representative for the Company, maintaining effective relationships with owners and key stakeholdersEnsure owners are informed of all extra work, change events, and claims, and that subcontractors are notified of applicable back chargesMaintain accurate and up ‐ to ‐ date contract documentation,



including change orders and amendmentsImplement, enforce, and monitor compliance with the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Control programsEnsure all site activities comply with applicable legislation, regulations, and municipal requirementsProvide strong leadership to project staff by directing daily activities, maintaining discipline, and fostering a positive team environmentEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and project ‐ specific requirementsEnsure compliance with union agreements, where applicableReview and approve project cost reports, ensuring job cost forecasts and projected margins are accurate and currentSupport the bid and estimating process, providing constructability input and operational insightPerform additional duties and responsibilities as requiredWhat You Bring to the Team:10+ years of construction experience and technical school backgroundExperience in the Utility Contracting IndustryWorking computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsSound knowledge of construction techniques, practices, and fundamentals Experience with contract and subcontract managementAbility to build and maintain effective relationships and work within a team environmentStrong organizational and time management Maintain valid Ontario (G) driver's license Ability to travel within Ontario as requiredReason for vacancy: NewThe expected pay range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per yearIndividual pay isdeterminedbased on several factors, including work location, education, experience, uniqueskillsand job conditions.
