The role ensures that information is structured, controlled, compliant, and aligned with delivery, operational, and stakeholder requirements across the asset lifecycle.This position provides leadership on information governance, standards, quality assurance, metadata, information architecture, and compliance, while working closely with project, design, digital, and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the information management strategy for the project or programEstablish and maintain information governance frameworks, standards, and protocolsDevelop and oversee metadata structures, naming conventions, classification systems,
and information architectureEnsure alignment of information practices with project delivery requirements and lifecycle needsLead information quality assurance processes to verify completeness, consistency, traceability, and accuracyEnsure compliance with applicable standards, including ISO 19650, and relevant data protection and security requirementsGather and translate stakeholder information requirements into clear governance rules and delivery processesOversee how information is structured across connected environments such as BIM, GIS, EDMS, PMIS, and asset information systemsLead audits, reviews, and reporting related to information management performance and complianceIdentify information risks and define mitigation measuresSupport digital adoption and change management related to information management practicesProvide guidance and subject matter expertise to delivery teams and stakeholdersProfile/SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, Information Technology, Construction Management, Library/Information Science, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an asset.Years of experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in information management, digital delivery, document control governance, or related disciplines within complex infrastructure or capital projects.Technical competencies:Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and information management principlesExperience developing and implementing:information governance frameworksmetadata and classification systemsnaming conventionsinformation quality controlscompliance and audit processesUnderstanding of information structures across BIM, GIS, EDMS, PMIS,
