Gastroenterologist – Now Hiring

Plano Medical Center is looking for a skilled Gastroenterologist to perform endoscopy, colonoscopy, and comprehensive GI consultations at our Toronto clinic.

About The Role

Plano Medical Center is expanding its gastroenterology division and seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join our team in Toronto. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, manage a diverse caseload of GI patients, and contribute to the growth of a modern, patient-centred clinic.

Our dedicated endoscopy suites are equipped with high-definition scopes and the latest monitoring technology. You will work alongside anesthesiologists, family physicians, and a skilled nursing team to deliver outstanding digestive healthcare across the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform upper endoscopies (EGD), colonoscopies, and polypectomies
- Conduct outpatient GI consultations for referred patients
- Diagnose and manage conditions including GERD, IBS, IBD, celiac disease, and colorectal polyps
- Interpret pathology and imaging results and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
- Participate in colorectal cancer screening programs and preventive GI care initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

- MD degree with FRCPC in Gastroenterology (or equivalent international certification)
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy




- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Strong clinical judgment with excellent patient communication skills
- Eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and internationally trained physicians welcome)
