Responsibilities

The Yard Associate is part of a team dedicated to customer service, order preparation, and loading operations, while working safely at all times.

- Greet customers in the yard and assist them with questions and product selection
- Verify that quantities on documents match the order
- Assist customers with loading their vehicles
- Ensure accurate product selection
- Help prepare customer orders
- Organize and stock materials in the yard and warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the lumber yard
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Perform other related duties as required

Conditions & Requirements

- Punctual, reliable, and in positive physical condition
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
- 0 to 2 years of experience as a yard associate (an asset)
- Knowledge of construction materials
- Day shift schedule, including every other Saturday
- Ability to work under pressure and perform physically demanding tasks




- Forklift operating experience (an asset)
