Summary

Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our manufacturing operations through process improvement, equipment optimization, automation, and capital projects. This hands-on engineering role partners closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance while supporting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives. If you enjoy solving technical challenges, working on the plant floor, and seeing your ideas implemented, this is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact. Key Responsibilities

Design and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes using SolidWorks and CAD software Develop engineering drawings, documentation, and technical specifications Support capital projects including equipment purchases, upgrades, automation, and facility improvements Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues using root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions Design, build, and test prototypes, fixtures, and experimental equipment Provide day-to-day engineering support to Production and Maintenance teams Improve equipment reliability, manufacturing efficiency, quality, and operating costs Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and waste reduction Coordinate project schedules, budgets, risk management, and implementation activities Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and applicable codes Document engineering changes and communicate improvements across the organization Qualifications





Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience Experience supporting production equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant operations Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic systems and industrial equipment Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment failures Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing setting Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation Experience with automation, robotics, or material handling systems Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems Exposure to compressors, chillers, cooling towers, or other industrial utilities Project management experience Knowledge of ergonomic assessments and industrial safety standards Key Competencies
