We are recognized as one of Canada's Best Employers, guided by caring, agility, teamwork, and a customer-centered approach.Purpose of the RoleThe Director, Health Systems, Central, Eastern and Northern Canada drives business growth by expanding LifeLabs' partnerships across Ontario, the Atlantic provinces, and Canada's Northern Territories. The focus is on government and public sector clients, including hospitals, long-term care, population health organizations, and federal agencies. The role identifies and secures strategic opportunities that support better healthcare access and patient outcomes.The Director leads the full business development process from chance identification and relationship building through contract execution and transition to operations. Working with internal teams, including the Quebec business development team on national opportunities, the role helps position LifeLabs as a trusted partner to health systems across Canada.What You'll DoStrategic Growth & Market DevelopmentDefine and execute a regional growth strategy and multi-year roadmap across Ontario, Atlantic Canada, and Northern regionsIdentify and prioritize opportunities across public sector opportunitiesAdvance LifeLabs' position in federal healthcare opportunitiesTranslate policy, funding, and health system trends into actionable growth opportunities and solution strategiesCollaborate with the Quebec BD team on pan-Canadian or overlapping opportunitiesBusiness Development & Revenue DeliveryOwn the full business development lifecycle: market engagement, pipeline development, opportunity qualification, RFP/proposal leadership, pricing strategy, and contract negotiationDeliver against revenue and growth targets, including net-current business and strategic expansionsLead cross-functional teams to develop competitive, high-quality proposals and winning bid strategiesMaintain disciplined pipeline management,



forecasting, and reporting using CRM and analytics toolsLead and develop a core sales and account management team to drive disciplined execution, client engagement, and growth outcomesGovernment & Stakeholder RelationshipsWith the Vice-President, build and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships with provincial ministries, regional health authorities, hospital leaders, LTC organizations, and federal stakeholdersAct as a strategic advisor by understanding system priorities, procurement pathways, and policy dynamicsRepresent LifeLabs in government forums, industry events, and key stakeholder engagementsNavigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments across jurisdictions and funding modelsCross-Functional Leadership & Internal AlignmentPartner with internal stakeholders across operations, clinical, digital, finance, legal, and marketing to advance opportunitiesSupport development of solution offerings and service models aligned to health system needsEnsure strong internal alignment to enable effective pursuit, contracting, and transition to deliveryBring forward market insights to inform product and service roadmap evolutionPartner closely with service delivery and implementation teams, who hold primary accountability for onboarding and operational executionEnsure a seamless transition from contract to implementation through effective internal coordination and stakeholder alignmentMaintain executive-level relationships post-sale to support long-term partnership growth, renewal, and expansionIdentify opportunities to deepen partnerships through additional services, programs, or geographic expansionWho You AreStrategic and commercially minded leader with a strong understanding of healthcare markets and growth opportunities.Skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing diverse stakeholders in complex public-sector environments.Politically astute with the ability to navigate competing priorities and foster effective partnerships.Strong negotiator with a proven ability to structure, close, and execute complex agreements.Exceptional communicator and presenter who can influence and engage audiences at all levels, including executives and government leaders.Data-driven decision maker who translates market intelligence and insights into actionable growth strategies.Results-oriented and accountable, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.Resilient, adaptable,
