Our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional projects, coupled with a dynamic and forward-thinking approach, positions Delnor Construction as a trusted partner for realizing your vision with precision and excellence.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the general direction of the Sr Pm / Team Lead, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing project construction management by communicating directly with clients/consultants/sub- contractors regarding project cost, staffing, and scheduling. The Project Manager will prepare project status reports and work to ensure the execution of the project adheres to contract plans and specifications which yield optimal profit levels while maintaining value added services to the clients and consultants. Performs other related work as may be required.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop the project requirements, cost estimates, project plan and budgetNegotiation and awarding of contractsSelect key personnel and subcontractors for the projectMonitor, control and report on progress, costs, and budget throughout the projectMaintain good working relationships and communications between owners, contractors, sub-trades, and project staffResolve disputes, negotiate change orders, and communicate decisions to owners, sub-contractors, and management personnelProvide work direction and coaching to assigned field engineering and project staffDevelop long range goals both personally and for support staffProvides performance feedback to project staff and/or sub-tradesWorks to identify Project Coordinator training needsAssist management team to develop project tracking systems and criteria to benchmark and measure project performance (quality,
timeliness, client satisfaction)Assist management in defining project improvement focus areasCommunicate, support, and promote industry leading corporate safety culture through mentorship which includes enforcing safety policies and best operating practicesSECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral knowledge of human resources (i.E., employment standards, human rights) and health and safety best practices, ensuring educational requirements are continuously updated to stay current with legislatively required changes.Knowledge of provincial and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and municipal by-lawsRepresent the clients' best interests with a value-added approachOffice practices, procedures and ergonomicsAdministrative principles and methods such as goal setting, program development, implementation and evaluationResponsible for performing work in a protected manner by following safety rules, regulations and emergency evacuation procedureAdhering to Company Policies and Procedures and Industry StandardsJOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation/TrainingPost-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Construction Engineering or related discipline.Other Training & DevelopmentLEED certification as requiredOther in-house specialized training as required (Database, Estimating software, Asbestos Awareness, Mould Awareness)Certification or designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) may be requiredExperienceA minimum 5+ years in a Project Management capacity, and 5+ years of general commercial construction experience.Experience with Post-Secondary construction an asset.Knowledge, Skills and AbilityAnalytical skills in collecting and organizing statistical data; analyzing, classifying and rating project financial impacts and/or success; maintaining accurate recordsCommunication: ability to facilitate meetings, liaise with multiple stakeholders and prepare professional presentation documentationConsultation and effective resolution and conflict management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
