Family Physician - (1782)Family PhysicianLocationNine Circles Community Health Centre - Winnipeg, MB R3G 0X2 CA (Primary)Job TypeStandard ApplicationJob DescriptionConsistent with the principles of primary health care, and in accordance with Nine Circles Community Health Centre program standards, policies and procedures, the Family Physician will provide primary care services. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the Family Physician provides comprehensive health care to people living with HIV and at-risk populations. The Family Physician plays an integral role as a member of an integrated care team that participates in developing, implementing and evaluating a health care plan that reflects the goals and expectations put forth by the client.The job is a part-time, term position, 32 hours per two-week period (including holiday pay hours). A normal workday is based upon 8 hours per day, excluding an unpaid 30-minute meal period and hours will fall between 8:30 a.M. and 5:15 p.M. Mondays through Fridays.Key Areas of ResponsibilityDelivery of Primary Care Medical ServicesDelivery of HIV Care and TreatmentHealth EducationA detailed job description stating all position duties and responsibilities is available upon request.QualificationsEducation and Training (Required)Family Practice Residency CompletionLicensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba and current registered member in good standingTrained in Opiate Agonist Therapy (or willingness to obtain upon hire)Knowledge, Skills, and ExperiencePreference of minimum 2 years' experience of directly related experience working in a primary care, community health and/or ambulatory care settingDemonstrated knowledge of health promotion strategiesDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Community Development, Harm Reduction,
Health Equity and Client-Centered concepts and applications.Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and the impact of colonization on the health and well-being of Indigenous individuals and families.Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team settingCommitment to and knowledge of community-based health careGood communication and interpersonal skillsFacility with computers and keyboardingAssetsExperience and/or interest in HIV care and treatment, Hepatitis C management, mental health and addictions careKnowledge of and experience in Accuro or similar Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systemsFluency in languages other than EnglishCompensationThe position is classified as Class 3, on the WRHA-Churchill Health Region Employers and Doctors Manitoba Collective Agreement salary scale.
