Posted on: 6/17/2026 - Apply before: 8/17/2026Mississauga, ON, or Montreal, QC, Canada | req29668The National Production Manager position responsibilities include leading Merchant and Onsite industrial gas manufacturing activities across Canada relating to variable cost management, productivity, outage planning, inventory management and plant efficiency tracking. This is a critical position interacting with executive management, quantifying, supporting, and communicating product supply impacts and plant operating information to various stakeholders and teams to meet business objectives.What you will enjoy doingYou'll manage all the variable costs across the site—things like electricity, gas, CO2, water, and steam—making sure we're budgeting accurately, tracking variances, and handling accrualsA big part of the role is helping us optimize power costs and supply strategies, both short- and long-term, while also giving real-time guidance to the plantsYou'll look for opportunities to drive savings by leveraging different power programs and ensuring compliance while maximizing cost benefitsYou'll coordinate plant downtime—planned or unplanned—including scheduling, backup support, and ensuring inventory is managed properlyYou'll track and report on monthly performance metrics like production volumes, costs, utilization, reliability, and environmental impactYou'll review and approve all variable cost invoices to ensure everything is accurate financiallyThere's a solid stakeholder alignment piece—you'll help connect the dots between power costs, margins, forecasts, and business impacts across teamsYou'll interpret contracts and regulations,
and lead productivity initiatives—using data and analysis to identify improvement opportunities and track project benefitsWhat makes you greatBachelor's degree—engineering is ideal—solid technical foundationMore than five (5+) years of experience working with ASU, CO2, or similar plant operationsProficient in monitoring plant performance and key KPIs, using data to support operational decisionsExperience with financial controls, budgeting, and understanding how costs flow through operationsEnergy management experience is a big plus, especially if you've worked with electricity marketsStrong in Excel, used regularly for analysis and reportingExperience on productivity or improvement projects, with the ability to explain cost-benefit impactOperationally focused, driven to succeed, and strong interpersonal skills to work across teamsThis is an existing position with an annual salary range of $126,000–$155,000.Linde Canada Inc. is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities.
