Job SummaryProject Development Manager – Mechanical/HVAC is responsible for managing client relationships, identifying and developing recent business opportunities, while assisting the operation team in ensuring successful delivery of Mechanical and HVAC projects. This role bridges technical expertise in both Mechanical and HVAC systems along with strong customer relationship management, ensuring clients receive effective Mechanical and HVAC solutions while driving revenue growth for the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary contact for assigned Mechanical-HVAC accounts, fostering long‐term client relationships and ensuring satisfactionConduct regular client check‐ins, site visits, and performance reviewsIdentify opportunities to expand Mechanical & HVAC service offerings and develop tailored proposals, quotes and presentationsSupport contract negotiations, RFP responses, and bid submissionsCollaborate with technicians, project managers, estimators, and engineers to ensure successful, on‐spec project deliveryCoordinate schedules, deliverables, and resource planning across internal teamsApply strong knowledge of Mechanical systems (HVAC, VRV, chillers, boilers, air handlers, controls, ventilation systems, piping, plumbing, fire protection, or industrial equipment)Provide technical guidance, system recommendations, energy‐saving strategies and lifecycle insightsWork with technical teams to develop solutions for client challengesTrack account performance, revenue forecasts, and profitabilityManage client contracts, renewals, pricing adjustments, and service agreements; ensure accurate invoicing and financial close‐outMaintain accurate CRM records, reports, and documentationPrepare sales reports, pipeline forecasts, and client updates for leadershipMonitor HVAC industry trends, market conditions, competitor offerings,
and pricing to support sales strategyQualificationsDiploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Business, or related field; relevant HVAC trade certifications (313A, G1/G2) an asset3–7+ years of experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, industrial systems, or technical salesBackground in managing service contracts, HVAC installations, retrofits, or building automation projectsProven account management skills and successful delivery of mechanical/HVAC projectsStrong understanding of mechanical/HVAC systems, drawings, codes and construction processesSkilled in communication, negotiation, client management and interpreting mechanical specificationsStrong problem‐solving, organizational, and project management skillsProficient with CRM platforms, MS Office, estimating tools, and project management softwareAble to manage multiple projects in fast‐paced environmentsValid driver's license for field travelTechnically inclined with willingness to learn advanced Mechanical and HVAC technologiesProactive, detail‐oriented, relationship focused, and business development mindedProfessional, collaborative, customer‐focused, and result‐drivenSalary & BenefitsThe salary range is $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data.
