Title: Apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment TechnicianID: 573Location:Schedule: 5x5x4Hourly Rate: $44.05 to $51.93PurposeThe successful applicant will assist in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of underground mobile mining equipment. Working under the guidance of experienced Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians, apprentices will develop the skills and knowledge required to safely perform maintenance and repairs on structural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems while progressing through their apprenticeship.ResponsibilitiesAssist in troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on underground mobile mining equipment.Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications.Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment. Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches, and side booms.Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Corporate and Discovery Porcupine Environmental Regulations,
