Ensures safe, effective and effective delivery of rehabilitation services including quality assessment and treatment, monitoring of patient outcomes and discharge planning at all YHC facilities.Knowledge, skills and abilities required:Solid knowledge of skilled practices and procedures as outlined by Canadian Occupational Association; Working knowledge of the Code of Ethics as outlined by Canadian Occupational Association; Demonstrated ability to develop and implement rehabilitative programs/services; Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, schedule and assign work,



resolve operating problems and assess clinical competency and performance; Knowledge of management methods and techniques including human and financial management; Ability to planand implement a resource management program for rehabilitation services; Ability to teach rehabilitation practices and other relevant skills; Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology; Solutions oriented with excellent decision-making skills; Excellent oral and written communications skills; Effective interpersonal skills; Strong quality assurance and continuous improvement skills; Advocacy and assertiveness skills; Ability to effectively engage multidisciplinary staff; Ability to advocate for patients, patients' family, rehabilitation staff and other members of the healthcare team.Good judgement, initiative, and reliability; Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.The successful candidate is required to have: a Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy; minimum 5 years' experience and minimum 2 years' supervisory/clinical leadership experience, preferably within an acute care health facility; Current membership in aCanadian Occupational Therapists Association; Current CPR; and avalid Yukon Class 5 Driver's License with a clean drivers abstract.
