This role ensures that projects, typically valued up to $50 million, are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the agreed standards, enabling GN departments, agencies, and communities to meet their service delivery needs. The incumbent provides strategic oversight, applies the GN Project Management Policy (PM Policy) and TIN Project Management Process (PM Process), and leads a team of project management professionals to achieve consistent, high‐quality results. Through proactive planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, the Regional Manager, Projects safeguards GN investments in infrastructure, optimizes resource use, and ensures that projects contribute to long‐term value through life‐cycle analysis, all while operating in Nunavut's unique political, cultural, and environmental context.ResponsibilitiesThe Regional Manager, Projects will lead and supervise project management teams, assign workloads, set priorities, and guide the work of contractors and consultants to ensure compliance with GN policies, safety regulations, and technical standards. Key duties include developing procurement strategies, preparing budgets and reports,



overseeing tendering and contract administration, facilitating training for staff and stakeholders, and promoting lessons learned to improve future project delivery. The position also represents the GN in discussions with other governments, community leadership, and industry associations. This leadership role is critical to ensuring GN infrastructure projects are protected, functional, cost‐effective, and aligned with community needs, supporting the delivery of vital programs and services to Nunavummiut across the region.QualificationsThe knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through the completion of a post‐secondary degree in a relevant discipline supplemented with a professional project management certification. In addition, a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively challenging project management experience on large commercial and/or institutional buildings and/or civic works, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience, is required. Experience in managing the development and construction of infrastructure projects, including successfully delivering projects of similar magnitude and complexity, is required.Knowledge of the Official Languages of Nunavut (Inuktut, English, and French) is required; fluency in more than one official language is an asset.
