Position Overview

Experience

- Recent combined mother-baby care and/or recent Labour & Delivery and/or LDRP and/or neonatal and/or Antepartum nursing experience required.
- Nurses currently working on A6 Antepartum/Gyne will be deemed qualified due to the antepartum on that unit.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

- Current CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
- If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.

Qualifications and Skills

- Bilingualism required (ability to understand and speak English/French)**
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).





** The candidate must be able to understand and speak French at a proficiency level that allows them to sustain diverse in-depth conversations with patients and families. Language proficiency will be evaluated in order to assess the applicant’s proficiency level. For more information on the required proficiency level, please contact the Human Resources Department.
