TD Securities works with clients around the world, and our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.At TD Securities, we believe that diversity is the key to our success in the competitive global marketplaces and we embrace people with a wide range or unique experiences and abilities.The Credit Trading group's primary function is to provide liquidity in the Canadian dollar investment grade and high yield corporate bond market and to support TDSI's corporate debt issuance activities. The desk offers investment solutions and advice to institutional and retail bond investors, while providing best-in-class execution and distribution services to assist investors in achieving risk-adjusted return targets. Securities issued and traded cover the entire spectrum of the debt capital structure for domestic and international issuers. The group comprises Trading, Sales and Credit Strategy and the specific vacancy within the team is in a Credit Strategy capacity.Contribute to the profitability of the group's credit trading business and work as part of a team to maximize business opportunitiesConduct credit research on a portfolio of fixed income issuers and identify relative value opportunities across issuers,



sectors and currenciesDevelop an understanding of issuer funding needs and plans and pricing across the term and capital structuresKeep abreast of corporate events and regulatory developments to determine impact on credit profilesBecome familiar with rating agency views and methodologies for assessing credit quality and ratings directionalityPublication of daily and ad hoc credit commentaries to communicate credit views and forecasts with Sales and Trading colleagues, buy-side analysts and portfolio managersInform Sales and Trading colleagues and credit investors about new issuers coming to the Canadian market through publication of brief credit notesAttend issuer road shows and reflect thoughts to the group and to clientsPresent credit perspectives through formal presentations to institutional and retail investorsRequirementsMBA or undergraduate degree preferredCFA designation or enrolment in the CFA program an assetExperience in fixed income research or credit analysis preferred, including familiarity with credit rating agency methodologiesFamiliarity with reading, assessing and summarizing bond offering documents and covenant analysisThe candidate should demonstrate a passion for and understanding of the broad financial marketsExcellent verbal, written and in-person communication skills; solid team playerDemonstrated strong business analytical skills, problem solving abilities, initiative and creativityStrong computer skills necessary, including Microsoft Office applications and, ideally, programming skillsExperience with Bloomberg preferredWho We Are:TD Securities offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our innovation, execution, and experience.
