Position PurposeThe purpose of this position is to provide the Hospital with a senior project manager that can coordinate Information, Communication, and Automation Technology (ICAT) planning, design, construction and integration activities for the new Fancsy Family Hospital campus. The Project Manager will oversee IT and medical equipment planning, ensuring healthcare IT systems align with broader construction and operational goals across all redevelopment projects, and serve as a key representative in discussions with hospital professionals, stakeholders, architects and consultants.Vacancy StatusFull Time – Salary Grade 8Duties & ResponsibilitiesEstablish and lead the tactical roadmap of ICAT implementations for the next five years in conjunction with the broader Project team and Shared Service Organization (Transform).Execute the tactical plan to achieve FFH Projects Digital Goals, Objectives, and Benefits.Oversee the integration of ICAT systems, ensuring alignment with architectural and construction plans.Oversee the installation of structured cabling, network infrastructure, data centers, and other IT facilities across the campus.Identify potential risks related to construction and ICAT implementation and develop mitigation strategies.Consult with equipment vendors to ensure physical space, operational requirements, and utility requirements are accurately captured in the equipment database.Monitor micro‐schedules to ensure all phases of ICAT work proceed on time and do not impact construction timelines.Establish ICAT project controls, monitoring, tracking, and reporting of internal documents to identify risks, opportunities, and manage project timelines and budget.Perform cross‐functional duties as assigned and requested; perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required.Backup the ICAT Director.Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrate the ability to conduct all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with WRH's commitment to promote positive customer relations with patients, families, visitors, volunteers, staff and external agents.Possess well‐developed business‐management skills and acumen (strategic planning, budgeting,
resource allocation and strong analytical skills) coupled with demonstrated organizational skills and experience with large‐scale projects.Be self‐directed with a successful track record managing and prioritizing complex ICAT/IT projects while working with multiple teams of professional, technical, and non‐technical staff.Show excellence in interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with clear written and verbal communication with professional, technical, and non‐technical staff.Exhibit strong consultation, facilitation, negotiation, problem‐solving, consensus‐building, team‐building and collaboration skills, with an ability to gain consensus and alignment among multiple stakeholders on small or large complex projects.Commit to team building in a complex, multidisciplinary environment and ability to work with various constituents/teams to build consensus.QualificationsUniversity degree or college diploma in engineering, biomedical engineering, health information systems, information technology, architecture, or a health‐care related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum five years of experience working in the IT field in an acute hospital.PMP or Prince 2 certification required with a minimum of three years of experience leading, planning, specifying, selecting, and deploying major ICAT projects.Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with migrating hospital operations and environments to new sites.Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi‐disciplinary team.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, MS Access, Outlook, Project and PowerPoint.Ability to read architectural, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings (considered an asset).Experience with tools such as dRofus, Fieldwire, AutoCAD,
