We are seeking a strategic, hands on Business Unit Controller to join the senior leadership team of a premier manufacturing organization.OverviewIn this role you will oversee all financial and accounting functions for the business unit while serving as a key strategic advisor to plant operations and executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & Decision Support: deliver monthly financial statements with deep dive variance analysis, identifying key trendsStrategic Modelling: lead business case development, financial modeling and competitor analysis to evaluate profitability and drive value creationCapex: review and financially justify major appropriation requestsComplex Accounting: apply robust accounting & valuation concepts to support decision making (fixed asset evaluations, capital leases, valuation reserves)Plant Performance: partner closely with operations and plant management to analyze standard cost variances, inventory valuation and manufacturing performanceRisk Mitigation: oversee internal controls and identify process gapsBudgeting and Forecasting: lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processLeadership:
