Hook Lift Driver - Edmonton, AB

GFL Environmental is looking for a Hook Lift Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate the hook lift truck and ancillary equipment on assigned routes.
- Deliver and remove solid waste dumpster containers efficiently and courteously.
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip safety inspections, reports, route sheets, and other documentation requested by supervisor.
- Operate the truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver‑induced mechanical failures.
- Follow all safety standards, equipment checks, and precautions in the performance of all duties.
- Comply with all federal, state/provincial, local and company rules on safety and vehicle operation.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and may be required to complete route observations and provide reports.

Requirements

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class 1 or Class 3) with Air‑Brake Endorsement.
- Valid First Aid and preferred H2S Alive Ticket.
- Demonstrated ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.
- Preference for candidates with prior Hook, Roll‑Off or waste experience.




- Ability to maneuver the truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces and use mirrors to back distances of approximately 120 feet or more.
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
